About the Skegness Community Church

Skegness Community Church of the Nazarene was set up in October 2008 under the oversight and support of the Reffley Community Church of the Nazarene, King’s Lynn. The Church of the Nazarene is an international evangelical denomination in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, working in over 156 world areas with over 2.3 million members in 30,000 congregations. In the UK there are 90 churches. In April 2015 we became a separate registered charity (CIO)(Charity Registration no. 1161383) and in March 2019 we were accepted as a fully organised in the Nazarene.Church. In January 2020 we were informed by the Distict Advisory Board that, for various reasons, they wished to release the church from the denomination. Since then negotiations have been taking place. At a General Meeting of the members held on 10th April 2022 a new Constitution was agreed as was the change of the name of the CIO to Skegness Community Church . The new Constitution has been accepted by the Charity Commission and the new name has been registered.
